In this workshop, the first of a set of four double sessions under the theme of Electronic Commerce, E-Marketplaces as a channel for enhancing sales, its advantages and disadvantages, the different typologies of existing E-Marketplaces and also the main aspects to be taken into account in use of these channels for sale of products. Developed in an enterprise-oriented format, this workshop will participants a set of information and practices that will facilitate the understanding of the particularities of this channel, increasing the likelihood of success in resorting to E-Marketplaces as a tool for business expansion and increase in sales.

Beatriz Casais is a university professor in the area of ​​Marketing and Strategy, with a PhD in Sciences Entrepreneurs in the Marketing and Strategy variant by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto since 2015. She currently collaborates as a guest teacher at Porto Business School, at the School of Economics and University of Minho, at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave and at the Portuguese Institute of Administration and Marketing of Porto (IPAM). It also engages in strategic consulting. In addition, Professional experience in marketing and communication consultancy at the University of Porto and the Ministry of Cheers. He was also a journalist on Rádio Renascença and in the Diário Económico newspaper. Your areas of interest focus on about digital and social marketing, marketing communication and advertising.
